ABOUT US

Jani Vrhovec

Founder & Vision Lead

Jani Vrhovec’s connection to metalwork and precision craftsmanship runs deep, shaped through years of hands-on experience in machining, production and materials. He has always been driven to refine and optimize design, guided by a pursuit of clean lines, purposeful form, and mechanical elegance.

The idea for Aeterno Design emerged from a frustration with mass-market design. After years in lighting production, Jani envisioned something different: pieces that speak with gentle strength, honoring timeless materials through pure, lasting form. Today, he leads the vision at Aeterno Design, shaping works that bring presence and meaning to refined spaces.

Jan Vrhovec

Co-founder & Designer

Jan Vrhovec has always been drawn to details: the curve of a line, the balance of shape, the way a surface feels under the hand. From an early age, he was drawn to shaping wood, forming a connection to material and making that has never left him.

With a background in mechanical engineering, Jan blends technical precision with an intuitive sense for form and feel. He brings a sculptor’s eye to product development, shaping every detail with intention. Influenced by motion, proportion, and the emotional quality of touch, he ensures each Aeterno Design’s piece feels as exceptional as it looks, crafted with purpose, and finished to invite touch, not trend.

From Vision to Legacy

With Hyperion, Jan and Jani Vrhovec began a new chapter: creating pieces for the present moment, shaped to become part of what remains. At Aeterno Design, each form carries a feeling of quiet luxury, enveloped in natural materials and guided by intention.

Aeterno Design exists beyond trend. It is a study in restraint, an ode to permanence, and a commitment to the kind of design that stays—subtle, sculptural, and deeply felt.

Each edition is created in limited numbers to give every piece the fullest expression of craft and presence. It is a collection for those who recognize the rare, and choose it with intention.
